Freedom to Print
Your file is ready to print anywhere — here's how to get the best results.
There's something lovely about working with a local printer. You can see the paper stocks in person, feel the weight, and get advice from someone who does this every day. Just email them your PDF file and ask for a fine art or matte print at the size you'd like — they'll know exactly what to do.
If they ask about specs: your file is 300 DPI in PDF/X-4 format, ready to print with no additional preparation needed.
If you'd rather order from the sofa, these services make it beautifully easy. Upload your file, choose your size, and they'll handle the rest.
- Gelato — delivers worldwide with excellent colour accuracy and a wide range of paper stocks. A great all-rounder.
- Whitewall — specialise in museum-grade gallery prints. If you want the absolute best quality, start here.
- CEWE — a reliable option with fast turnaround and good value. Particularly convenient if you're in the UK or Europe.
The right frame makes all the difference. Here are some ideas matched to common composition styles:
- Classic Gallery — a simple black or white frame lets the photos do the talking. Clean lines, no distractions.
- Editorial — try a minimal float frame or frameless mount for a clean, modern look that feels like a magazine spread on your wall.
- Warm & Organic — a natural wood frame feels right here, or hunt for a vintage frame at a flea market for extra character. Imperfection is part of the charm.
For a warm, gallery-quality feel, ask for fine art matte or baryta paper. Lustre finishes offer a soft sheen without harsh reflections. Avoid glossy for multi-photo compositions — it can create distracting glare when hung. If you want something a little different, aluminium or acrylic prints make a striking statement and need no frame at all.
Hang your composition at eye level — about 150 cm from the floor to the centre of the print. Leave at least 20 cm of breathing room on each side. If it's above furniture, keep 15–20 cm between the top of the piece and the bottom of the frame. Picture hooks rated for 5 kg+ are more than sufficient for either print size.
Technical details: your file is 300 DPI in PDF/X-4 format. Both 50×70 cm and 70×100 cm sizes are included — choose your preferred size when ordering.
